Prof. Tomohisa Dan is conferred the Distinguished Service Award in CPD Contributions from the Japan Institute of Marine Engineering (JIME). Certificate of the award and supplementary medal were handed to him at the ceremony during the regular general meeting held on May 17, 2017.
Every activity of institutions has a point according to its detail, and member's individual activities are recorded by accumulation of the points. This is a widely used system among both domestic and international institutions in order to quantitatively evaluate activities of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The Distinguished Service Award in CPD Contributions of JIME is being conferred on members whose activities in CPD seminars, as well as CPD activities consist of learnings, findings, and instructional contributions are remarkable. Three of JIME members including Prof. Dan received the award this year.
