- Research Interests
Recently I’ve been intensively studying “The Forefront of Marine Environmental Regulation Deliberated in IMO” since I got a doctoral degree on 28 September 2022. Of Course, I’m also inclined to keep on more deeply studying the 3 academic subjects; “the Legal Structure of Disciplines on Fisheries Subsidies,” “the Progressive Development of Deep Seabed Regime and International Law” and “Underwater Cultural Heritage and International Law.” Especially I and KOBEC jointly conduct the Legal and Scientific Training Program for foreign persons selected by International Seabed Authority every year under the auspices of Japanese Government.
- Message for Students
- You are certain to have an opportunity to know Mr. UMEKI Yasuyuki (1917-1943) somewhere in your student life. I strongly recommend two books that his wife Nobuko (1920-2017) loved; Herman Wouk (translated by SHINJO Tetsuo), The Caine Munity (1970), and Norman Mailer (translated by YAMANISHI Eiichi), The Naked and the Dead (1950). Suffice it to say that you read them!
