Tetsuo Matsuno

Degree
Ph. D. in Earth and Planetary System Sciences (Kobe University, 2008)
Educational Contents
Undergraduate Course: Inducement to Maritime
Graduate Course: General study of ocean floor physics, Advanced study of ocean floor physics
Research Interests
I conduct researches on the Earth's internal electrical conductivity structure and ocean floor physics. Targets of my research include the lithospheric-asthenosphere system of oceanic plate and the crust and upper-mantle structures below submarine volcanoes.
Message for Students
My research is aimed to clarify the Earth's internal structure and ocean floor based on physics and mathematics, and to understand their dynamics. I obtain observational data that reflect the current state of the Earth, and develop data analysis methods to utilize the data and to gain insight into targets.
