Graduate School of Maritime Sciences agreed with Shanghai Jiao Tong University on Implementation Act of Academic and Student Exchange

The Graduate School of Maritime Sciences of Kobe University agreed with the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering and the School of Mechanical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on the Implementation Act of Academic and Student Exchange on 10th May, 2010. Kobe University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University has signed on the Agreement of Academic and Student Exchange since April 2009, and this is the first Implementation Act between Kobe University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which enables us to realize the concrete cooperative activity both on the research field and the student exchange. Prof. Oda, the Dean of Maritime Sciences, visit Shanghai with Prof Nishio, the chair of international exchange board of Maritime Sciences, and he signed on the agreement with Prof. Zang, Director of School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering, and Prof. LIU, Dupty Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering.

Four members, Prof. Liu, Prof, Fukuda, Prof. Sou and Prof. Dan of Graduate School of Maritime Sciences visited Shanghai, and they held a memorial workshop related to the Maritime Sciences and Mechanical Engineering. The research activities related to the combustion, thermal flow, and alternative energy technology were presented, and the researchers shear the similar field exchange their information and discussed on the future project. The agreement of implementation act gives us a chance to start a concrete cooperative works, and it is expect to grow large trend of their partnership.
